A Dream of the Apostasy

Name:
Location: Southern California, United States

After being born again in June of 1979 the Lord led me to a small home study where time in the Word (at least 2 1/2 hours a day) was strongly encouraged. During the early and mid 80's I served part and full time with a ministry in Anaheim, Ca working with the homeless, bikers, low riders, those in prision and just getting out and the average Joe. During this time of "doing the Word" God started putting missions on my heart and I spent a few years in Central America and Southern Mexico doing mission work there. During my time there God patiently brought me to an understanding of Grace that I hope to share effectively with you here. I am now busy raising a family and being active in my local church body. In God's timing I believe my wife and I will return to full time ministry.

A Dream Of the Apostasy

Introduction

In 1994 the Lord gave me the dream recounted below. I now believe it is being fulfilled in part through the accelerating apostasy now taking place in the Western Evangelical Church under the guise of the Emerging Church Movement.

Persecution of those following Biblical Christianity in the west is also starting to accelerate.

~

Dear Brethren,

Some time ago the Lord gave me a dream. I do not remember my dreams as a general rule, but the next morning this one was as clear and detailed as if I had seen it in the movies. I was troubled by the dream, so I wrote it down and started praying for an interpretation. Four days later, early in the morning as I was attempting to wake up, I said good morning to the Lord and was immediately aware of the presence of the Holy Spirit. In that instant I was given the interpretation, clear and detailed . So I wrote it down.

While seeking God's direction to know what He wanted me to do with this dream, interpretation and message He placed the following scripture references on my heart. Upon looking them up He brought to my attention the following words.

Jer 29:1 "Now these are the words of the letter unto the...elders...and to the priests, and to the prophets, and to all the people."

Matt 28:10 "Then said Jesus unto them, 'Be not afraid: go tell my brethren.' "

Jer 26:2-3 " Thus saith the LORD; Stand in the court of the LORD's house, and speak unto all the cities of Judah, which come to worship in the LORD's house, all the words that I command thee to speak unto them; diminish not a word: If so be they will hearken, and turn every man from his evil way, "

From this I understood that the message was for the entire church of Jesus Christ. That it was addressed to all denominations in all the cities and countries and to all that "come to worship in the LORD's house". More specifically it is to the ... elders ... priest ... prophets ..." as well as "all the people".

I trust that, as you seek God, He will reveal to you what you are to do with this. Please feel free to make copies and distribute as the Lord leads. I ask only that you do not add to or take away from it.

By His Grace,

Marc Pinneo

The Dream

I had a dream.

In this dream I was standing on the top of a crag above many jagged cliffs and mountains that were formed in a semicircle below me. All over the sides of these cliffs were figures in black robes with black hoods standing on little plateaus. I could not see their faces. As I watched a lake appeared below, as black as the robes of this multitude. It grew in size, and then shrunk and grew over and over again.

The robed figures below me started leaping from the sides of the cliff into the lake...more & more of them with increasing frequency. The lake started to churn... and then became a whirlpool that rose to swallow up the mountains and everything that I could see.

As I watched, the whirling lake transformed into a great, flying, black dragon eating all that he could find. My dream ended as the dragon flew right at me with his mouth wide open and my entire view became the black darkness within his mouth. I sought the Lord for an interpretation of this dream for four days. The morning of the forth day God gave it to me in an instant.

The Interpretation

The mountains that we were on are "Christian" religion. They were arrayed in a semicircle forming an outdoor auditorium. The plateaus are pews and the bottom, which became the lake, is the altar and the pulpit.

Those standing on the plateaus are the many unsaved that attend church regularly. They do not have the white robes of the Righteousness of Jesus Christ, but rather the black robes of religion, with hoods on. You can not see their faces...you don't really know them. They come and go to church, but never get to know anybody and are never really known of anybody. They think they are saved.

But then something happens. They start leaping into the lake, more and more and more of them. They don't walk or run. They leap. It has become a movement, a revival of sorts.

As they leap into the lake it starts to churn and becomes a great whirlpool. This is the one world church that soon rises to swallow the mountains, that is the religious body of churches. As the lake continues to rise it becomes the great black dragon that flies. Mouth open devouring everything in it's path. The main persecution of the real church of Jesus Christ will be from the one world church that is soon to come. Many of those who now sit next to us during service, perhaps you who read this now, will be those who shall turn upon the true followers of Jesus Christ, seeking to turn us in and devour us.

The Message

The scripture concerning that Apostasy is clear:

"Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;" 1 Tim 4:1

"Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him, That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand. Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;" 2 Thes 2:1-3

"This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves...lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: ...Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth." 2 Tim 3:1-2,4-5,7 partial

Some ten years ago the Spirit gave me a word for the church of Jesus Christ and told me to write it down, but never had me share it with anyone. He has now put it on my heart to include it with this message.

"The Kingdom of God is not in meat and drink...The Kingdom of God is in love and compassion. My Church, My body is the way, the path by which the world finds me, and I am the only way to
My Father.

Hear oh Church and obey. I have called you to holiness and righteous living, in truth and in deed. For unless you cloth yourself with Me, with My righteousness, My compassion, My love and depart from your adultery with the system and ways of this world - the millions of lost and dying souls will never see me, and never come to Me and be saved ... because you have been disobedient and you break my heart.

I have called you to go forth and bear fruit, that your fruit should remain and bear more fruit. But you horde my goodness to yourselves. You do not bind the broken hearted, you do not
feed the hungry, you do not cloth the naked, you do not proclaim liberty to the captives, you do not show forth the excellencies of I who have called you out of darkness into my marvelous light.

Be zealous therefore and repent - and do the works of I who have called you while it is yet day - for night comes when no man can work."

1 Peter 4:17 says, " For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God? "

What shall we say to these things then my brethren?

God is calling the Church to repentance (2 Chr 7:14, Prv 1:23, Jer. 2:11-13, 3:12-14, 4:1-4, 6:10-19, Rev 2:1-3:22). Because the institution that is known to the world as The Church of Jesus Christ is full of lost souls who have a form of godliness but they deny the power there of (2 Tim. 3:5). They take the name of the Lord Jesus Christ unto themselves but they do not depart from iniquity (2 Tim.2:19, Ez.36:23). They show up for service, they sing to God, they have even said "the sinners prayer" , but the have never repented from dead works and then had a living faith towards God. (Heb.6:1, Ez.33:30-32)

Just ask their spouses, their children, their roommates or their fellow employees. They call themselves believers, but they do testify by their manner of life that they are not and they bring reproach upon the Name and Character of Our Great God and Saviour (Rom.2:19-24, Phil.3:18-19). They not only do not enter into the kingdom of God, but by their hypocrisy they keep those who would from entering in! The light that is in them is darkness, and how great is that darkness (Matt.6:19-24)!

They have not come to repentance because nobody has told them that they must (Luke 13:3). Instead they are told that "once saved always saved", but they are never challenged to examine themselves to see if they are even in the faith (2 Cor 13:5)! They not only are not saved but are inoculated from the conviction of the Holy Ghost to repent and be saved!

This is a tragedy brethren. How much better to be truly saved, and be challenged to make our calling and election sure (2Pet.1:10) (even if this does cause us to doubt our salvation), than to be truly lost and think that we are heaven bound. That person shall be the one that arrives at the wedding feast and when the Lord asks, "where is your wedding garment", he or she shall have no answer. They are the ones who shall say, "Lord, Lord. Did we not do many mighty works in your Name?" and Jesus will say, "Depart from me you workers of iniquity, I never knew you."

And their blood shall be upon our hands if we do not preach the whole gospel of Jesus Christ.

Please consider the following scriptures...

"... Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God, And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel." Mark1:14-15

"And they went out, and preached that men should repent." Mark 6:12

"And said (Jesus) unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day: And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. And ye are witnesses of these things." Luke 24:46-48

"I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish." Luke 13:3

"Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord;" Acts 3:19

"And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:" Acts 17:30

"Testifying both to the Jews, and also to the Greeks, repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ." Acts 20:21

" To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me." Acts 26:18

"But shewed first unto them of Damascus, and at Jerusalem, and throughout all the coasts of Judaea, and then to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God, and do works meet for repentance." Acts 26:20

"The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance." 2 Pet.3:9

"Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God," Heb 6:1

"If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?" Ps.11:3

Lets look at Heb 6:1 again.

"...the principles of the doctrine of Christ...the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God. "

It is clear from these passages and many others that God gives as much weight to repentance as He does to faith. Can we do any less? What can we do if we destroy this foundation? You may be thinking that "repentance" is only for the unbelievers. Let me first say that those in the black robes are the unsaved in your church. But repentance is for the church also. In Revelations chapters 2 and 3 Jesus calls the church to repentance 7 times!

Please note that I am in no way suggesting that by an effort of our own strength we can come to repentance. Esau tried this to no avail (Heb.12:16-17). But rather, when by the conviction of the Holy Spirit we see God's goodness to us (Rom.2:4) and His sorrow over sin (2 Cor.7:10, Ez.6:9, Gen.6:5-6), that we then choose to yield to His Spirit (2 Chr.30:8, Rom.6:14-18) and surrender our will to His.

Consider the exhortation given us through James,

" Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? Whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.

Do ye think that the scripture saith in vain, The spirit that dwelleth in us lusteth to envy? But he giveth more grace.

Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.

Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you.

Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded. Be afflicted, and mourn, and weep: let your laughter be turned to mourning, and your joy to heaviness.

Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up." Jms 4:4-10

In Conclusion

Some of my observations...

The mountains are the religious structure in which the true Church, the religious and the seekers of God come together. (Wolves in sheep's clothing can be found there too.) This will change dramatically and completely as the one world church swallows it up. Those who love Jesus will find themselves being led of the Spirit to meet from house to house and in the streets and parks.

God will use the coming persecution to push true believers out of their comfort zones and place them is a position to be used during the last great harvest. There will be no place for "lukewarm" or "carnal" Christians. The tares and the wheat shall be separated.

Every church goer will be forced to decide. But many shall be deceived into believing that the coming of this New World Order is of God, when it is actually driven by the spirit of Anti-christ. At the same time the Holy Spirit will be poured out in greater measure than ever before in history. We must be preaching the whole and Holy Gospel. There can be no compromise.

At the bottom of the mountains is the altar and the pulpit. The lake that then overcomes these is representative of a few things.

1) The false doctrine of ecumenicalism. That is, "church unity" through the effort of man. (The Church of Jesus Christ is already "one". (1 Cor.12:12-14, Gal.3:26-28) A World Counsel of Churches proclamation can not accomplish "true unity". That is humanism.) Note that this effects and overcomes the leadership first. Check your doctrine and teaching brethren. Does it line up with the whole counsel of God?

It is interesting to note that in the parable of the tares and the wheat that the tares are gathered together first and then the wheat:
"Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field: But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way. But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also. So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, didst not thou sow good seed in thy field? from whence then hath it tares? He said unto them, An enemy hath done this. The servants said unto him, Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up? But he said, Nay; lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them. Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn. "
(Matthew 13:24-30 emphisis mine)
Could this first gathering be the last great apostasy?

2) The beginnings of persecution will (as always) start with the leadership that does not embrace this new world order/church doctrine & movement. But be of good courage. Jesus has overcome the world. (Josh. 1:6-9)

3) A thought. The lake which appears is "as black as the robes of this multitude." Black as oil. I believe this may also be a reference to so-called enviormentalism. That is, the call to save our planet from the pollution of man will be the justification and unifying banner for a one world church, government, economic & banking system . Beware of it. Even now, people's constitutional rights are being striped away and violated in the name of "Mother Earth".

4) The lake grows and shrinks. The false doctrine creeps in and then back , then in a little farther. This is the doctrine of Balamm. (i.e. "Don't curse them, go and make love to them." Rev.2:14) The spirit of Anti-christ will first seek to woo you before overcoming you.

"They leap."

1) Now is the time to call the Church to repentance. To preach righteousness in the congregation (Ps.40:9). To hold the standard of God's holiness high (Matt.5:48) and teach that by His Grace we can, indeed must serve God "acceptably with reverence and Godly fear".

Please note that Grace is the power of God given to us by the Spirit of God to do the will of God. See Gal.5:16-18, Rom.6:14-18, Eph.6:10, 2 Tim.2:1, 1 Cor. 15:10, 2 Cor.12:9, Rom.8:1-4,11, Heb.4:16, Heb.12:27-28 (KJV), Acts 1:8 etc.

2) Once the members of your congregation who are not yet born again start making the jump to this One World Church/New World Doctrine, you will not be able to call them back or reach them again. Though God may be able to reach them by some other means.

"More and more and more."

1) As the revival of Apostasy accelerates, you should be seeking total reliance on Gods Spirit and Word to lead and guide you. From this point on, "church" will never be the same. He may very well move you to leave "your church or ministry" because He has a completely new work for you as the latter rain begins to fall.

This is a warning!

YOU MUST BE LEAD OF THE SPIRIT AND THE WORD!

The Spirit of God will be unifying and networking the true body of Christ in preparation for the last great harvest of souls. All "church structure" as we know it will be swallowed up by the new One World Church. The Dragon is of course Satan (Rev. 10), who is the driving force behind this grand deception (2Cor. 11:13-15). That he makes war on the saints we see in Rev 13:7.

For those believers who are reading this and are not in leadership positions, do not forget that you are called to do the work of the ministry. Consider the following scripture:

"And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:" Eph.4:11-13

God calls all of us to be involved in "...the edifying of the body of Christ." Ask God to use you and He will. Be available to the prompting of His Spirit, especially when you are in the "house of God". Be ready to talk or pray with that person sitting next to you.

Remember...

"For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them." Eph 2:10

God is preparing you for a work, and He is preparing a work for you.
(2 Cor.5:17-6:1)

"Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children; And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling savour. But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints; Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather giving of thanks. For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.

Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience. Be not ye therefore partakers with them. For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light: (For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;) Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord.

And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them. For it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done of them in secret. But all things that are reproved are made manifest by the light: for whatsoever doth make manifest is light. Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light.

See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, Redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is. And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit;

Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord; Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ; Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God." Eph 5:1-21

"Blow ye the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in my holy mountain: let all the inhabitants of the land tremble: for the day of the LORD cometh, for it is nigh at hand; Therefore also now, saith the LORD, turn ye even to me with all your heart, and with fasting, and with weeping, and with mourning: And rend your heart, and not your garments, and turn unto the LORD your God: for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repenteth him of the evil.

Be glad then, ye children of Zion, and rejoice in the LORD your God: for he hath given you the former rain moderately, and he will cause to come down for you the rain, the former rain, and the latter rain in the first month. And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:

And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved." Joel 2:1,12-13,23,28,32

"For the Son of man is as a man taking a far journey, who left his house, and gave authority to his servants, and to every man his work, and commanded the porter to watch.

Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning: Lest coming suddenly he find you sleeping . And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch." Mk 13:34-37

"And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed. The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light.

Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying.

But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof." Rom 13:11-14

May the Lord "...grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by His Spirit in the inner man" in these last days.
